Natascia Lypny is a Montreal native whose passion for journalism reaches back to when, as a child, she single-handedly produced the broadsheet Natascia News and delivered it to three locations: her parent’s bedroom, her father’s office and the kitchen. Since then, Natascia has moved to Halifax for her post-secondary education and now calls both cities home. In the fall, she will be entering her fourth year of university aiming toward a combined honours degree in journalism and social anthropology at the University of King’s College. Outside of class, she is an avid theatre society participant, writes for the school paper and heads up the King’s Journalists for Human Rights chapter. She also freelances whenever and wherever she can, and currently acts as editor of the Halifax Media Co-op. Natascia doesn’t know where life will take her after university, but she is positive that it will — must — involve journalism.
