Beatrice Sison-Paez is a freelance journalist whose work spans from writing on international development issues to arts and culture. She has built a growing portfolio of work that encompasses a range of media, from producing short documentaries to writing news and features for Inter Press Service news agency and The Philippine Reporter. She covered the UN beat for Inter Press Service in New York City and is currently writing about the Filipino community in Toronto for The Philippine Reporter.
As a recent graduate of McGill University, she earned her BA in Political Science and Sociology. Her time at McGill nurtured her interest in journalism and politics. Never one to miss a beat, she’s not waiting till she’s gray to complete her bucket list. Thrilled to be interning at Global News, she’ll be hitting one off the list thanks to UNA’s M&M programme.
